Abstract

The assessment of the curriculum and the program outcomes is vital in the progressive role of enhancing the educational process, ensuring that continuous improvement were to take place. This study evaluated the implementation of the 2018-2019 curriculum of various programs in the College of Education, namely the Bachelor of Elementary Education, the Bachelor of Physical Education, and the Bachelor of Secondary Education majors in English, Filipino, and Mathematics. Questionnaires were based on the CHED Memorandum orders that govern each program, which was then complemented by a qualitative analysis to be able to establish a multifaceted approach to the implementation assessment. The findings revealed that the programs were evaluated as “fully implemented” by the students, with a balance of curricular and co-curricular elements being raised as highlights. While challenges such as the pandemic have been mentioned, the flexible and adaptive education strategies were noted as best features in the curricular implementation. The reinforcement of quality education was emphasized through the evaluation of the program outcomes, and the institutional values have been adhered to through the continual improvement mechanism established in such measure.
